‘A once in a life-time thing’

'Giants of Australian folk & jazz’

‘Go see it.  It's a must see!’

Three superb voices in songwriting and musical exploration unite for a dream collaboration accompanied by The Wild string trio. Emily-Rose and Parvyn widely celebrated in the jazz and folk scenes of Australia are joined by Ofri, a young Sydney based pianist and songwriter with a striking, wild voice and compositions that match.

Weaving voice, piano, strings and synths their songs travel through landscapes inspired by nature, human yearning and experiences that are deeply familiar to us all. Joining them are Holly Downes (double bass/viola), Emily Sheppard (Violin) and Catie Alison (Cello).

Recently returned from touring UK and Canada, Emily-Rose curated this collaboration with other artists who refuse to sit comfortably in a box. She has been a finalist for Best Jazz Work at the Art Music Awards and an ARIA award finalist with Chaika, and writes music of cinematic scope.

Parvyn, a recent winner of Best Jazz Album at the Australian Independent Record Awards, has many influences through her music. Her Punjabi and Sikh heritage mixed with Australian upbringing, combined with her love for soul, folk and jazz, results in a dreamy kaleidoscope of sounds.

Ofri has a relationship with Emily-Rose back to her 8 year old self as her piano student traversing rocky roads of high school, university and covid, to become one of Australia’s most exciting young voices in music.

This concert will be in the Bundanoon Soldiers Memorial Hall, where Emily-Rose will play grand piano.  This is a one-off chance to see this extraordinary collaboration.   To avoid regret - get your tickets now.
